Over the last quarter century, there's been a decisive fog around the claims and counterclaims of Corvette's origin and its alluring storytelling piece of history in modern Americana. Essentially, this area became riddled with imperfection. For one, there has only been one "Father of the Corvette" and it's not surprising that the individuals who ever contested this fact in the first place were also the engineers, administrators and advertising executives - in and around Metro Detroit - who were in power during a period of time when GM experienced its worst sales drop and decline of market-share in the history of the modern auto industry (1975-1996).

Naturally, the execs responsible for a number of legendary blunders in Motordom's past, during the time frame mentioned directly above, decided on whether or not to go on and market and promote (sell) the most important story of Corvette history. Did these people chose to tell the truth, or commercialize the lexicon behind the real engineering master and artistic visionary who's story is the pure essence of why the Corvette is still here today?
