Historically, H.J. Earl's Cadillac V-16 symbol (the U.S. Patent is featured below) is an important discovery properly locating an artist/engineer to his work in the nascent period of his relationship with General Motors.

"Why" no historians were ever clued in on the hidden truth is one of the main reasons so many people in Detroit over the years have passed up from ever finding out all about this man’s hidden scent trail of incomparable works of art and motoramic masterpieces of engineering supremacy.

A LOT OF PEOPLE today don’t know about Harley Earl. Yet they should for there is so much about him that’s good for all of us to know. So you start to tell people about him, and suddenly you discover that Harley Earl was several kinds of man…and that each kind deserves a telling.

The above 1944 print advertisement with its mysterious V symbol ominously spiking through a car body was perhaps intended to have a creepy  almost spooky subliminal affect. This red devil victory propaganda symbol no doubt inspired many Americans while at the same time made our opponents of the Axis nervous as hell on seeing visual cues like this during WW-Two. Important to note regarding this above ad... Cadillac wasn’t even producing cars when this ad came out; maybe ads like this were often aimed at our foreign warmongers who were closely watching us.

These 1944 magazine advertisements, directly above and below, are from North American Aviation, NAA (going into WW II, GM owned a majority stake of this company). Not surprisingly, NAA's secret aeronautical designs (this company was the largest builder of aviation vehicles during and after WW-Two...see additional statistical data below). From the  original blueprint of the P-51 Mustang to the B-25 Mitchell bomber, no 'one' particular engineer has ever before been linked to these fantastically designed vehicles. It sure is interesting that expert who prepared the ad below had an intimate knowledge of rapid design obsolescence, wind tunnel technology and where America was most vulnerable to be attached! Was Harley Earl here?

Everything in the above ad, from the V...- to the striking visual sword metaphor, has all the ear-markings of HJE.

Another WW-Two ad hinting at the all-new industrial engineering work being done behind-the-scenes at General Motors. Also, note how the billboard paragraph, above, references another exclusive ingredient pioneered and first introduced inside this corporation by Harley Earl: Design Obsolescence, a.k.a., Planned Obsolescence. And, put in the most basic terms, after GM first mastered using this advanced methodology of hybrid engineering it would go on to then displace the old ways traditional engineers, before H.J. Earl, built industrial products coming off Detroit's assembly lines (remember, Automobile Design is an entirely "math based" profession).

From the early 1930s onward, it became the most state-of-the-art volume production engineering method in the world...and it is exactly why GM went so far out in front of their competitors. So, naturally after World War Two all worldwide auto makers went on to adopt the GM way of building manufactured products of mass production using the precise method of "pre-engineering" the product a-head of time in a professional automobile design department.

Unbelievable as it may seem, the exact paradigm relating to how it all began can be scholarly traced back to Harley Earl.

Click the above print ad from 1955 to view more supporting evidence of how the aeronautical giant, Convair, was another large client of Harley Earl's independent design firm outside of General Motors back in the 1950s. For too many reasons to list right now, this inventor didn't dare publicly promote his real role (how he was perhaps Detroit's premier military advisor). But, in an extremely esoteric fashion, this modern innovator did allow certain information to be publicly promoted so a hidden interconnectivity or record of a "paper trail" could some day establish his link to this mid-century technology & a Skunk Works maze first created in the auto capital. Only a handful of this country's top leaders ever knew what lay behind a pyramid of power he had primarily leveraged together and formed. You can't make up what is finally surfacing and coming out now on Harley Earl's true story. For example, some savvy professionals are starting to ask questions (for the first time), on how come no concrete information was ever released in the Motor City before on Harley Earl creating Detroit's dependency on design...which for all intents and purposes played an extremely large role cementing GM near the top for decades of time?

The "Le Sabre Chronology," detailed below, became the modern blueprint for exactly how many major American industrial manufacturers would go on to assemble not only their automobiles, but weaponry, that came to be used in modern warfare. In other words, Henry Ford's assembly-line methods were extremely crude in comparison to the very technological juggernaut Harley Earl first exploded inside GM and Fisher Body's giant engineering world (Fisher was a wholly owned subsidiary of GM).

Henry Ford handed the baton to Harley Earl in the late 1920s...and no one since has proven a better way to do things.

The magical legacy of Harley Earl’s visual encyclopedia of art and engineering innovations is mesmerizing to say the least. Practically all of HJE’s dramatic design work is symbolic, especially during the war years. The depth of just how many loyal Americans were WOWED daily by this man’s artistic genius is just now starting to be unlocked. From the timeless businesslike beauty of an incomparable V-16 jewel-like-ornament on his Cadillacs to the distinction of a simple lamp cluster engineering innovation blended into the back of a Buick tail end, Harley Earl’s unusual resources and personalized works have spoken to Americans now, like no other modern master, for decades of time!
